Bio
Daveman, whose real name is Davis Adedayo Eisape, is born in East Berlin and grows up in Germany and Lagos, Nigeria. Already in 2001, at the age of 17 years, he releases his first album "Imoshuns" with his band called "The LagBoyz", which is a success.
With the Berlin Hip Hop formation "Trikolo" DAVEMAN in 2004 releases the album "Trikolo" as well as the single "Bring You Down" – Daveman lends a clear reggae mark to the Hip Hop album with his high speed-Ragga and his sunny Hook lines. In 2006 he publishes his EP "Good Morning Dread", a many-faceted, internationally oriented reggae disc.
Daveman publishes his new album with the title "DAVEMAN" on the 21.05.10 in cooperation with producer Uwe Klapdor (Starsearch, DSDS etc.).
The mainstream Hip Hop reggae album reflects his life between European and African culture and although in his songs have very different musical styles, his music always has a "regganized way" – as Daveman says himself.
From 2006 to 2009 Daveman tours with his Berlin band successfully nationwide and internationally. He plays many festivals, club gigs, street parties, fairs, for example at famous festivals like "Lake Chiemsee reggae festival", "Umsonst und Draussen" and Masala World Beat festival. He wins silver at the "Soklingt-Berlin"-Band-Competition and makes it to the finals at the creole-band competition in 2006 and 2008.
... Due to his large variety of activities and skills Daveman is often present in the media. It is Daveman's motivation to build bridges between continents, cultures, music styles and religions. The trip together with the German Minister of Foreign Affairs in February, 2008 to Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso, as well as the leading and realization of the music project "German Reggae meets Hausa Music" in north Nigeria in December, 2008 initiated and planned by the Goethe institute., emphasize his skills.
His Christian faith inspires him to sing about injustice, mismanagement, poverty and racism and also about taboo topics like child prostitution. He is involved passionately in projects, that help to increase the life standard of children. Since July, 2009 Daveman leads the musical department of the youth-social project "Bluboks Berlin" with children from socially weak families in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
"Music is the language of the sky because she reminds our souls of the paradise and can touch therefore our deepest inside, more than something other."
