Slag in Cullet
Young Swiss trio Slag In Cullet won band contests in 2005, released an EP called Like Taking Cover Behind... in 2007 and rocked the Gurtenfestival before holing up at the LittleCreek Studio in Basel to record their first album Time To Explode in September 2008 with V.O. Pulver.
After a lot of gigs in Swiss Clubs, Slag in Cullet began to attract the attention of the music industry in Germany and England.
Then out of the blue, UK label Headroom Records came across the band on MySpace. They flew to Switzerland to meet the band and watch them play live in May 2009. The deal was signed at 3 o'clock the following morning in the hotel bar (which had closed at 1.30 - you can't have everything!)
That was only the beginning. In June 2009 Slag In Cullet rocked one of the greatest & best known stages in Switzerland: The Sitterstage at the St.Gallen Open Air Festival.
... On September 18th their debut single Rubber Heart was released and the promo video swiftly found an MTV playlisting in Switzerland.
B-Side The Waste cuts to the quick and plumbs the depths of your very soul.
On October 23rd the album Time to Explode saw the light of day, and the band celebrated with a storming gig at Basel Kuppel that will be remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to be there. Slag in Cullet will touch your emotions and rock you to the core.
'Life gives us inspiration' says Andy Röösli, the band's lead singer .
Needless to say that you can see the band in a number of european Clubs this Autumn. Their energy, emotion and intensity are unforgettable.
